We at Concord Pilates know that your time is precious, and that you want to see results from your workout. Still, it’s important to know that Pilates is not a quick-fix solution. It's more like a lifestyle. As you know, change takes discipline and consistency.

Why Pilates?
 

Our bodies work for us 24/7. Most of those hours, it’s not moving in a healthy way if it’s moving at all. So at least a couple of hours a week, we have to give the body the activity it yearns for. It’s been proven that unless we actively do strength-based exercises at least once a week, we actually lose muscle mass. Each week we do not exercise, we've lost strength. Nothing in this universe stays the same: if we do nothing, we actually move backwards. By committing to training with us, you commit to your own transformation.

 

Maybe the most wonderful aspect about joining us is the sense of community that is so strong in the studio. You’ll find yourself among a group of inspired, compassionate people who, like you, want to make a change in their lives. We don’t judge, we accept. We don’t criticize, we support. It’s your path, but we’re right there with you along the way to point out the beautiful flowers and scenery.

Pilates is an experience of a lifetime, an extraordinarily effective way to look after the health and fitness of your mind and body. It will bring balance and strength to your life and make it so that you can move through your life with greater ease and mobility. 

 

We are here to guide you into better movement, to feel better than ever before. We believe so strongly in the Pilates system that we are committed to doing it the way its creator,  Joseph Pilates, intended. Large classes are fine for many activities, but Pilates is built around your individuality.

 

We are a good fit for you, if...

  • You need guidance in choosing the best, most efficient, most appropriate exercises for you.
  • You appreciate a highly trained and skilled teacher to keep her eyes on you and make sure your form is excellent at all times.
  • You need help with your posture in everyday life.
  • You have a specific goal and want help achieving it sooner rather than later.
  • You appreciate an open minded, generous and no-judgement environment.
  • You like to laugh (also about yourself). We like to have fun, while working hard.
  • You're looking for a different workout than anything you've done before.
  • You need expertise more than motivation.
  • You want answers why your body doesn't work or feel the way it should. There is always a reason, and we'll find it.
  • You want to be a better runner, cyclist, hiker, swimmer, golfer, skier, etc.
  • You appreciate squeaky clean facilities, high-end Pilates equipment and top notch customer service.

We are not a good fit if...

  • You're looking for the cheapest way to get fit.
  • You think it's fine if the instructor works out with you. We don't think we'd be doing a good job in teaching you then. We work out in our own time.
  • You like competition. We're honoring - I would even say celebrating - our individuality.

This one-on-one session will focus on you, your goals, and your questions. We will perform a short fitness screening to reveal your body’s specific strengths and needs, giving you a roadmap for your practice.

You will leave with a better understanding of your needs, and a customized plan based upon your assessment score that fits your schedule, budget, and body.  We will help you step into your optimal health by incorporating Pilates into your wellness plan.
